Research

In my astrophysics research, I focus on the interactions between the first generations of galaxies in the Universe and the intergalactic medium (IGM) --- the gas that fills the space between galaxies. I study the state of the IGM during the first gigayear in the history of the Universe (which is now 13.7 gigayears old). See my academic webpage for more about my research and my academic CV.

Programming

My interests include: Python (SciPy, NumPy), numerical techniques, Bayesian inference (probabilistic data analysis), Markov chain Monte-Carlo algorithms, data visualization, Git (and github), LaTeX, and the HDF5 format.
